Program Director

The ideal candidate will have a college degree (AA – MA), experience working in education, and a pure love for community service.  Must be highly organized and have extensive knowledge in Google Sheets, Slides, and Docs.  Must have excellent customer service skills!  Prior supervisory experience is extremely helpful.  Bi-lingual intelligence is a bonus!  The Program Director will support a predominately Latin-American school, so there needs to be a capacity to support said culture with nurturing love.

Salary: $65-$75k Annual (Based on full experience)

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

 

SCHOOL COORDINATION

The designated Extended Learning Program Coordinator will provide on-going leadership and facilitation of the on-site Extended Learning Program. The Site Coordinator will ensure a balance of academic and enrichment activities and provide a safe environment while collaboratively interacting with the site, district, community, parents and students.

 

Directly responsible to:

School Site Principal, Lead Agency Director

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Development

  • Maintains full attendance outlined by grant requirements and establishes waiting

list

  • In coordination with the Principal and school site systems, identifies and provides access to academic instructions to the highest need of students
  • Under direction of the Site Principal and EXTENDED LEARNING PROGRAMS OFFICE, identifies lead teacher(s) to align Extended Learning programming with standards-based instruction of the regular school day
  • Is familiar with funding expectations, goals and objectives
  • Maintains a positive, student-centered program environment
  • Attend all meetings and professional development trainings as scheduled by the School Site Principal, Program Manager, and EXLP
  • Provide leadership during weekly staff meetings
  • Assure that meeting minutes are electronically filed inside designated Dropbox or Google folder
  • Provide ongoing monthly evaluation for individual staff
  • Plan and facilitates regular field trips for each grade of students
  • Assist with staff recruitment

 

Day to Day Operations/Logistics

  • Facilitates and monitors day to day operations of the program
  • Oversees daily program activities
  • Ensures students & staff safety by implementing and enforcing program policies, as well as communicating issues to the Principal and OUSD staff
  • Plans activities for students that are academic, recreational, enriching, and healthy (Snack Sessions, Physical Activities, Extra-curricular Academics)
  • Ensures that the daily schedule is being followed by staff
  • Oversees all program behavior problems and incidents, and completes all necessary reporting in a timely manner
  • Records student attendance daily and inputs data into computer weekly
  • Keeps accurate records of program information
  • Responsible for facility use for Extended Learning Programs space during Extended Learning hours
  • Serves, monitors and documents snacks for participating students
  • Calendar all events using cloud technology
  • Secure materials and supplies to support program needs
  • Produce Staff Improvement plans as outlined within the “Staff Handbook”

 

Administrative/Documentation and Reporting

  • Setup and monitor Zoom classrooms
  • Maintains systems for student and staff documentation
  • Submits Program Action Plan
  • Submits Monthly or Quarterly Reports as outlined by grantors
  • Organizes schedule of activities
  • Secures staff meeting agenda and minutes
  • Other related tasks not unreasonable for the position

 

Budgets/Fiscal Management

  • Purchases needed materials according to approved District procedures
  • Have knowledge of site budget
  • Plan all activities within budget parameters
  • Organize and oversee fundraising activities
  • Helps to secure grants and/or new funding opportunities
